The dining room carries a modest charm that doesn’t compete for attention but rather supports the heart of the visit: the food and company.
Here, Southern fare is more than just a menu—it’s a warm exchange of flavors that evoke memories and new discoveries alike. Whether it's the hearty stew of chicken, or the deeply satisfying crawfish pasta, meals are served with care, accompanied by sides that feel lovingly prepared rather than rushed. The classics—red beans and rice, smothered okra, crispy chicken wings—come with a homestyle authenticity that quietly invites you to relax and enjoy each bite.
Drinks flow alongside the food with equal attention, offering familiar spirits and beers that complement the relaxed vibe and encourage those slow, easy conversations. The experience at Eedo’s is rooted in simple joys: food that fills you up, company that makes you feel seen, and an atmosphere that turns an ordinary evening into something quietly memorable.
In a city known for its vibrant culinary scene, Eedo’s stands out not by shouting, but by gently offering a space where tradition lives on in every recipe and every smile. It’s a spot that rewards those who seek heart as much as flavor—a true local gem where stories are shared over steaming plates and genuine kindness.

When I say "Delicious Food", I mean it. The owner is also the Chef and he can cook! The waitress that served us is the daughter of the owner and she was phenomenal We had one of our best experiences of New Orleans in this place!

Came in on a whim on our way home. Didn't know what to expect but oh my were we surprised. Everything was delicious, cooked fresh and definitely not what we were expecting. It was so yummy. After spending a week in New Orleans we didn't think it could get better and it absolutely did. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

Sooo good! We went on a Saturday and I had the pot roast with rice, green beans, and Mac and cheese. As a Mac and cheese lover I wouldn’t really recommend it here but the pot roast was so tender and the sauce it was in was delicious! My man had the red beans and rice with the fried chicken and that was also amazing! The fried chicken was actually wings and they were so crispy and delicious!! Overall must try!!!!!

The food at Eedo's restaurant is delicious! I've eaten soul food at many local restaurants, and this one was the best. The red bens and rice are tasty and creamy. The stewed chicken and smothered okra are so delicious! The chicken wings were hot, crispy and tasty. And the potato salad is always great. All the sides I've tried are delicious! You have to try this restaurant if you want to treat yourself to delicious food.

Best red beans and rice I've ever tasted. Everything was delicious even the strawberry lemonade was excellent. They sold out of gumbo, but I'll make sure I'll get some today before heading back to Kentucky tomorrow. Family own restaurant and they are very kind and passionate about their business. A must try while in New Orleans

The second my husband and I walked in this past Sunday, we were greeted. Walking in to a welcoming environment is a feeling that makes you feel like family. They had great customer service, were friendly, and the food was amazing. They definitely had the package deal. Anybody can serve food, but being able to serve food, have good customer service, and have the food to taste great is hard to come across. I can see them going far. This restaurant future is very bright.

First time visitor here!! The service was top notch, I was welcomed with manners, informed about the menu and specials they were serving today. The food was delicious and very hot and fresh. I had the gumbo- lots of sausage and shrimp, the cabbage special was very good with the fish. Second meal was a white beans special with pork chops very good as well. I would recommend this restaurant.
